To Our Beloved Mother, Nonna, Bisnonna,

From a young girl in Sulmona Italy,

life asked you to be brave.

You lost your mother as a child and your father to war, yet through every hardship you carried yourself with courage, humour and strength.

You built a life filled with love, laughter, and family.

We will forever remember the joy of visiting your home, the chickens in the backyard, the fruit trees full of oranges, and the excitement of leaving with money for Hungry Jack’s or ice cream.

But most of all, we will remember the big table,

where you gathered us all together.

Around that table you gave us your stories, your wisdom, your beautiful food and the warmest hugs.

You taught us that family is everything.

Your love will live on in each of us, in every meal shared, every story told and every hug given.

Dear Mum,

Now reunited with Dad.

Our heart aches knowing we will live in a world without you in it. Nothing will ever be the same again. There is an emptiness that can never be filled and space in our lives that only you could hold.

You were loving beyond words, fiercely supportive, kindhearted, and endlessly selfless. You gave everything you had to the people you love. We could spend a lifetime speaking of your strength, your warmth, your beautiful soul, and it will never be enough to capture what we have lost.

Thank you for every hug, every sacrifice, every moment of unconditional love. We will carry you with us in everything we do, every day of our lives.
