BLACKWOOD, John Norval

John Norval Blackwood (29th January 1938 – 26th June 2026) passed away peacefully in Wesley Hospital aged 88 years. Devoted husband of 66 years to Pamela Elizabeth, loving father to Jane Elizabeth, Michael John, Scott Angus Blackwood, Adored grandfather to Samuel, Angela, Peter , Hannah, Edward, Henry, Luella, and Charlie. Cherished Great Grandfather of Saoirse and Stewart. John was known for his “life of the party” personality, his extreme kindness and generosity to family and friends, his strong belief in conserving the Australian bush and its creatures and his commitment to community life. A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held at the Indooroopilly Golf Club, Friday 10th July 2026 at 1:30pm.
