WEERERATNE, Edith Charlotte

With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Edith Charlotte Weereratne (née Glatz) on June 11, 2026 in Melbourne.

Edith was a much loved wife (widow to Vernon), mother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, through the three countries she lived in – Austria, Sri Lanka and Australia.

A funeral to remember her remarkable life will be held on Monday 22 June 2026, at 1.15pm at Springvale. Live streaming details available through the Simplicity Funerals website.
