China launches supply flight to Tiangong space station

The launch was declared a success by the China Manned Space Agency, state media said. 

Tiangong has been continuously inhabited since 2021 and is a key component of China's ambitious space program.

In 2025 China made headlines by successfully returning soil samples from the far side of the moon in an unmanned mission. 

Beijing aims to achieve a manned moon landing by 2030. 

The space agency has said that system and equipment testing for the mission is proceeding as planned, with preparations accelerating ahead of future lunar expeditions.
