Bookings for a dinner on Wednesday night, October 14, at the Kyabram Club close on October 7.
Event organiser Peter Nelson said bookings had been steady and advised those intending to attend the dinner to make their bookings or be disappointed.

The secret weeder
A Kyabram woman couldn’t believe her luck when she planned a day of weeding in her front garden.
There were no weeds to pull out!
But they had been there — and plenty of them — before the woman took a day trip to Melbourne.
But adding to the mystery was that the good Samaritan who did the weeding on that day left no trace or clue as to who they were.
Many possible suspects have been suggested and some approached but no-one has pleaded guilty.
One theory is that someone must have got the wrong address.
But of course Eva hopes it’s not a one-off effort, with the bonus it has been done at no cost — at this stage.
Interest in factory site
Rochester’s former Saputo dairy factory could soon have a new lease on life.
Several industries have been checking out the substantial Moore St site, which has been on the market with an asking price of $3.25 million.
A logistics group, a food manufacturer and agricultural businesses have all expressed interest in the site, so locals are keeping their fingers crossed.
Leaders get another term
Berrigan Shire’s Julia Cornwell McKean is set to become the the shire’s longest-serving female mayor.
Cr McKean and Deputy Mayor Catherine Healy were recently elected for a further two-year term, finishing in September 2028. It will be their third successive two-year term.
Wait for gas works
A major drainage and road upgrade in Tocumwal has been put on hold, with progress unable to continue until existing gas service connections are lowered.
Berrigan Shire Council said the $850,000 project would remain on pause until the gas network operator’s preferred contractor was able to complete adjustments, and refuted community speculation the pause was due to council budgetary issues.
Kelvin enters hall
Riverina transport identity Kelvin Baxter has been inducted into the Deniliquin and District Transport Industry Hall Of Fame.
The honour is for Kelvin’s more than five decades of service to the trucking industry in regional Australia.
Les Bond and the late Simon Edmunds were also inducted at the function.
Crossings upgraded
Level crossings in Benalla and Euroa have been upgraded during a recent Inland Rail weekend track possession.
Works across the Beveridge to Albury section of the Inland Rail project were conducted in the same period.
Appeal for witnesses
Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver failed to stop when police attempted to intercept a vehicle near Rochester.
Police tried to intercept a black dual-cab Mitsubishi Triton towing a large cage trailer at about 10.36am on Thursday, September 10.
Police said the vehicle accelerated to 138km/h in a 100km/h zone while travelling north along Restdown Rd, narrowly avoiding a collision with an oncoming vehicle.
Lucky 13th for anglers
The Campaspe Carp Catch is getting closer.
The 13th staging of the event will take place on Sunday, October 18, with registrations taken from 11am and fishing completed at 3pm.
There are competitions for under 10s, under 18s and open anglers.
