However, before that moment takes place, the News is excited to announce that a free commemorative feature will be inside the paper this Friday, September 25.
The special feature publication is filled with messages and stories from people involved over the years.
It’s also packed with photos, a timeline, facts and a little insight into what people can expect to see at this year’s big 150-year celebrations.
The Shepparton Show has been much more than an annual event over the years, and many people who still visit today are people who have been coming since they were children.
It also doesn’t come together every year without the hard work and determination of the volunteers and committee members who pour countless hours into making it happen.
Show secretary Julie Winch said the committee had worked hard to make this year’s show a fitting celebration of its 150-year history.
“Visitors can enjoy all the traditional favourites including livestock competitions, horses, championship dogs, arts and crafts, horticulture, photography, cookery, trade exhibits, community displays, sideshow attractions and plenty of free family entertainment,” she said.
“We’ve also planned several special features to mark this historic anniversary and celebrate the people who have shaped the show over the past century and a half.”
