At 9.15am on Tuesday, August 11, the Goulburn River was recorded to have reached 4.61m, surpassing the minor flood level of 3.80m.
Easing conditions has meant the body of water is now falling.
A VICSES spokesperson said, between 9am on Monday and 10am on Tuesday, local Seymour Unit volunteers attended two requests for assistance, both relating to trees down across roads and properties.
On its Facebook page, the Seymour Unit reported it also responded to calls about building damage.
The VICSES spokesperson said local residents should monitor conditions and be wary of minor flooding along the Goulburn River from Lake Eildon to Seymour.
“Local community members should stay informed about their flood risk,” they said.
“Keep an eye on the warnings as they are updated on the VicEmergency app or website.
“Never enter floodwater — always find a different route on your journey to keep yourself safe.”
As of about 3pm yesterday, water was reported to be over roads in several low-lying areas across the region, including at Delatite Rd, Seymour, Telegraph Rd, Seymour, Ashes Bridge Rd, Tallarook and Ewings Rd, Avenel.
