This follows the March Campaspe Shire Council meeting, where a vote resolved to put the plans on public exhibition for a minimum of 28 days.
The plans had not been released for public comment since initial engagement in July 2025 when residents were encouraged to have their say in shaping the future of the precinct.
Community feedback from this initial engagement in 2025 revealed concerns about functionality, ageing infrastructure and the spread of buildings and fences making the area difficult to navigate and monitor.
Council is calling on community members to have their say, helping to refine and ensure the proposed play space design reflects local needs, priorities and preferences.
The council is looking to understand which features of the draft play space are most important to residents and what could be changed or improved to help inform the next stage in the design process.
“This is an important opportunity for people to review the draft play space concept design and tell us what they think,” Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell said.
“We want to make sure the Jaycee Park play space meets the needs of families, children and the wider community, both now and into the future.”
Community members can provide their input by completing an online survey via campaspe.vic.gov.au/jayceepark or by collecting a hard copy from the council's Kyabram customer service centre at 19 Lake Rd, Kyabram.
The survey will be available online until Sunday, May 17.
