Developed by registered NDIS provider Rising Able Homes, the new accommodation will allow residents with extreme functional impairments and high support needs to live independently and safely with access to tailored support.
Drawing on their legal and trade expertise, Rising Able Homes directors Brooke and Ash Dedini recognised the need for this type of housing in Kyabram and committed themselves to the process.
Their commitment involved years of researching legislation, planning, engineering and collaborating with Vivid Disability Support and builder Brendan Roberts to bring the vision to life, creating a homely space for residents.
The property features three bedrooms, each with walk-in robes and private ensuites, and an additional overnight assistance room and bathroom for support staff.
Accessibility features throughout the property include ceiling hoists, assistive technology, wider doorways and step-free access, ensuring the home is usable for people with physical disabilities.
Representatives from Vivid Disability Support will now provide supported independent living services within the home.
This accommodation is available to individuals approved for SDA funding in their NDIS plan and who require improved liveability and fully accessible or high-support housing.
With only one vacant room left, participants or their support co-ordinators are encouraged to contact the Rising Able Homes team at bd@risingablehomes.com.au to apply.
