Kyabram Community and Learning Centre has partnered with the businesses at 147 Fenaughty St and Woolworths Kyabram to bring Christmas spirit to those who need it most in the community.

KCLC is once again bringing the Kyabram Giving Tree to life, in partnership with Sheridan Partners, Dawes & Vary Riordan, Waterpool Co-op, Elders Insurance and Woolworths Kyabram.

KCLC chief executive Jen Savage said the donation tree was an opportunity for everyone to come together to support people and families that were experiencing systemic barriers.

“This ensures that everyone within our community can have a festive and joyful Christmas filled with giving,” she said.

“The giving trees enable the community to collect what they need without the stress and burden this time of year can be like for some families.”

KCLC is a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation, focused on providing for the community by supporting families in the district.

Ms Savage said the centre worked to provide gifts for “everyone within a family”, not just children but also teenagers and adults.

“We want to meet real needs and have a real impact,” she said.

“Children like to provide gifts to their parents and siblings, so we try to provide gifts for all in a family to be able to feel good by giving a gift to another family member.”

The centre has been running the Kyabram Gift Giving Tree for five years, and Ms Savage said each year had been met with “amazing community donations”.

“I would like to thank the businesses and community members that support KCLC in the work that we do and helping us to keep our promise to ensure that no-one is left behind,” she said.

Gifts for the donation trees can be left at Kyabram Woolworths, 147 Fenaughty St, Kyabram or at KCLC at 21-25 Lake Rd, Kyabram.
