State Para Championships Tournament - Wade wins gold
Wade McPherson competed in Bendigo last week at the State Championships in both the Para Pairs and Para Singles.
Wade and his partner, Chris Randell from Corowa RSL, claimed the State Championship in the pairs, taking home a gold medal.
In the singles, Wade played well but did not progress to the finals, possibly feeling the effects of his efforts the previous day. Club Mulwala and the Ovens and Murray League are extremely proud of both players.

Tungamah Bowls Club Report
It has felt a little strange not heading down to the bowls club on a Thursday night, with players now having to cook at home and missing the regular interaction and camaraderie.
Condolences are extended to Cas and Michael Barry, proprietors of the Tungamah Garage, on their recent loss. They are valued supporters of the club, and the thoughts of members are with them at this time.
At this stage of the season, the club acknowledges the importance of its sponsors, both large and small.
It is well recognised that without sponsorship, clubs struggle to operate, and the support provided is never taken for granted.
Members make a point of supporting these businesses whenever possible, as do the players.
This year has seen many new sponsors come on board in support of the Tungamah Bowls Syllabus, advertising their businesses for the first time. These include:
AcuHealth Therapies – Yarrawonga; Peter Davis Rural – Benalla; Stickemon Signs – Yarrawonga; Denture Clinic – Yarrawonga/Cobram; NJ Todd Funeral Directors – Benalla; Stolz Furnishers – Benalla; Judds Apparel – Yarrawonga; O’Connors – Shepparton; Yarrawonga Tyre Centre – Yarrawonga; Millers – Benalla; Seeliger Real Estate – Mulwala; Blooms the Chemist – Yarrawonga; and Tungamah Store – Tungamah.
The club also acknowledges The Yarrawonga Chronicle for publishing Tungamah Bowls Club notes and photos throughout the season, along with Les Garbutt for his continued coverage of local bowls matches.
