Registrations are now open for the six-week competition, which begins on Wednesday, October 14 and includes grades from Minis through to Open.
While the Spring Series is designed to keep players involved, developing their skills and enjoying their netball after the winter season, participation will also be an important consideration for those hoping to trial for DNA representative teams in 2027.
A DNA spokesperson said the requirement was designed to encourage players to remain connected with the local competition and continue developing their skills ahead of the 2027 representative season.
“The Spring Series is about keeping players on court, giving them more opportunities to play and continuing to develop their skills, but it is also an important part of our pathway into representative netball,” the spokesperson said.
“If a player has aspirations of representing DNA in 2027, they need to register for the Spring Series and participate. We want our representative players to be engaged with the local competition and continuing to develop throughout the year.”
The Spring Series will feature under-11, u13, u15, u17 and open grades, while younger players can take part in a minis hybrid competition combining fundamental skills with supported game play.
Players from minis through to u15 can register individually, with the option to nominate two friends. U17 and open players can register either individually or as a team.
Boys are also welcome to participate in minis, u11 and u13 competitions.
Registration costs $60 per player for the DNA component, with Netball Victoria fees applying where players have not already paid them for 2026.
Minis players who are not already registered with VNA can register for the short season for just $15.
