Playing at Picola Recreation Reserve, Berrigan would have been hopeful it could still make a comeback after an 11-6 first term.
Those hopes were quickly dashed in the second, as the Blues surged to double the opposition’s total, leading 30-15 at half-time.
Picola continued to dominate after the break, cruising to victory 60-29.
The Blues’ midcourt controlled the action throughout, with three centre-third players, Olivia Clark, Natalie Hobbs and Jessica Beaton, named the side’s best in the clash.
Picola’s impressive 5-2 record is only enough for seventh spot in a strong competition, six sides still 6-1 or better seven games in.
The Blues next welcome league newcomer Barooga to their home courts, the Hawks 3-4 headed into Saturday’s clash.
Mathoura v Tocumwal
The Timbercutters continue to find their feet, suffering another heavy defeat to Tocumwal at the weekend.
On Mathoura’s home courts, the Bloods quickly seized the advantage, holding the host to four goals in the first quarter.
Ahead 37-9 at the main break, Tocumwal continued to roll after half-time, running out a 63-19 winner.
Mathoura remains rooted to the base of the table, one of four winless sides, as it heads into a trip to Katamatite (4-3) this Saturday.
