Blighty is coming off a big week at home against Tocumwal.
The round was highlighted for Blighty by a four point win in the reserves' football.
In the senior football, the team took it up to the Bloods only trailing by 10 points at half time, but the team couldn’t stick with them, going down by 44 points.
Redeyes seniors coach Dane Leyden said his team showed they were in the contest, but several injuries curtailed their chances.
“We stayed competitive for most of the day, which is always a good start.
“However, we lost a handful of players quite early for the rest of the day and made it an uphill battle from there.”
The Katamatite Tigers are the reigning premiers in the senior football.
Leyden knows his team will have to be at their best to challenge the opposition.
“We know Katamatite play good, clean and skilful footy, and we have to keep the pressure on them all day.
“Any lapses and they will blow us away.”
Outside of injuries, Leyden said the side will have a few out due to illness.
Regardless, he said the aim to stay optimistic with a tough stretch of games - facing teams from second to fourth on the ladder - across the next three weeks.
“A few of our boys are sick this week, so we will have a few coming out but not much you can do unfortunately.
“We have to try and remain positive on days where, if we’re honest, it’s hard to get the win.”
