Liam McInnes, James McKeown and Jacob Cartwright travelled to Sunbury to compete in the state final after successfully winning the Loddon Campaspe regional decider in recent weeks.
After securing victories in all three games in their section against Albert Park Secondary College (15-1), Richmond High School (7-3) and Mount Clear College (15-2), they had a close encounter in the semi-final against Bairnsdale Secondary College, claiming the win by one shot, 10-9.
In the 10-end grand final against Mount Clear College, the trio — all Year 10 students — was trailing 5-4 after five ends, but won the next five ends to claim an 18-5 victory.
The secondary senior title is their third state title in a row, having won the junior secondary section in the previous two years.
The three students also claimed the team spirit of sport award, having been nominated by multiple people who were in attendance.
It was a great achievement from three experienced bowlers from a country Victoria school.
